Embark on a journey with us as entrepreneur and visionary CEO of Design Life Kids, Kim Wardell, tells her story of learning how to curate modern design pieces that meet childlike wonder. In a special conversation with Good Neighbor Podcast host Bob Blaisse, Kim brings to life the evolution of her online boutique business to announce the unveiling of her flagship Design Life Kids retail store as the destination location for parents and children alike to share an immersive experience shopping in her realm where fashion, home decor and playful toys for girls and boys, celebrate the craftsmanship of design and practical use.

As the excitement bubbles over the impending grand opening of the Design Life Kids, retail location, at 1502 West Chester Pike, West Chester PA, this episode will traverse the unique landscape of Design Life Kids, illustrating how it transcends the typical retail store experience. Here Bob acknowledges Kim Wardell for her business' commitment to local business enrichment, even spotlighting Kim's role in shaping the futures of local youth, serving in their first job, learning retail business skills, with new levels of confidence to grow into contributing members of the community, and maybe one day business entrepreneurs themselves.

To top off the celebratory air, Bob awards the Good Neighbor Business Award to the founder of Design Life Kids, commending Kim Wardell for her transformative impact, while inviting listeners to experience the shopping journey that's anything but ordinary.  Listen in and be inspired by this widowed single mom's dedication to supporting her family in a world where style and functionality dance hand in hand in joyful discovery and learn why Design Life Kids is more than a store—it's a destination for families who value quality designs in their lives to share that experience with family and friends.

In terms of the DLK shopping experience, Kim says,

“The idea for the employees who will be working in the store is that they are your personal shoppers. It’s a boutique—not your regular store. When you come in we ask, what are your interests, what are your favorite colors, what are your hobbies, what are you looking for? Whether you want something for your nails, your hair, a really cool balance bike, we’ve got a little bit of everything. We’re here to serve you.”
