We’re growing up so fast! It’s hard to believe DLK is almost a decade old.
Originally a blog called Design Life Kids, DLK is a carefully curated collection of fashion, accessories, toys and decor for the modern, aesthetic loving family. In 2014, after her husband passed away, founder, Kim Wardell decided to live out her dream and began DLK where she brings her passion for design, architecture, and fashion to life.
“It was something that I could pour my heart and soul into, could smile and cry into, could fill those insane sleepless nights with,” said Kim. “I certainly thought it could be something one day, but I never imagined it would grow to this today. Thank you for that. For turning my dream, my therapy, into something tangible and gratifying.”
DLK has surely come a long way… with sustainable pieces from all over the world, and a desire to support small artists and businesses.
It feels like yesterday DLK daughter’s, Maya and Senna, were babies and now they are both in high school. Seriously, when did this happen?! Our brand reps have grown with us and against the odds, we’ve survived a global pandemic. Pretty impressive, if we do say so.
On this special day, let’s celebrate the milestones we’ve achieved, the memories we’ve created, and the remarkable journey that lies ahead... and it's all because of YOU.
We look forward to growing together as the best is yet to come. BIG things are happening in 2024… DLK is opening its very first brick and mortar in PA, in the United States! Stay tuned for more info in the coming months.
