Each toy car consists of a stack of laser-cut acrylic sheet, cut by the local laser service in the Netherlands and then had assembled. The inspiration came from car designs with Art Deco styling from the beginning of the last century.
The combination of different sheet thicknesses and colors creates a layered design with depth, which changes due to the incidence of light and the colors from the environment. A useable piece of art... form meets function.
